Ziegert EverEstate

Position

Senior Product Designer

Work

UX, UI, Design Systems, UX Research, Design Sprints

Time

September 2021 - January 2024

In 2021, I joined Ziegert EverEstate, a luxury real estate company in Berlin, assuming the role of Senior UX Designer within the product department. Simultaneously working with two teams, I played a pivotal role in developing a real estate purchasing platform and a SaaS product for real estate inventory management.

As the main product designer for both teams, my responsibilities included creating new features and ensuring both products met high UX standards. I spearheaded the rebuilding of two design systems, conducted extensive UX research, facilitated Design Sprints, and mentored a Junior Designer. Throughout our collaborative efforts, we successfully built one of the most sophisticated SaaS real estate inventory management products in the market, paving the way to market and sell it as a separate product.

Regular prototype testing and leveraging qualitative and quantitative data were integral to our success, as we maintained a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences. In addition to our achievements with the real estate inventory management product, our customer-centric approach, rooted in the Design Thinking framework, enabled us to elevate the real estate platform to compete with the best in the industry.

Design challenge

The overarching challenge was managing the intricacies of supporting two distinct teams concurrently, each tasked with developing different products — a real estate purchasing platform and a sophisticated SaaS product for real estate inventory management. Juggling these diverse projects required a strategic approach based on the Disign Thinking framework.

Accomplishments

The dynamic nature of supporting multiple teams demanded a flexible and adaptive mindset. Regular communication, cross-team collaboration, and a user-centric focus were pivotal in overcoming the inherent challenges. Ultimately, navigating these complexities not only strengthened my ability to drive successful UX outcomes but also underscored the importance of a holistic and data-informed approach in delivering superior user experiences across diverse product landscapes.
